“Choose your battles wisely” is a popular phrase in living a contented life. It suggests that life is filled with opportunities to choose between making a big deal out of something or simply letting it go, realizing it doesn’t really matter. If you choose your battles wisely, you’ll be far more effective in winning those that are truly important.
Certainly there will be times when you will want or need to argue, confront, or even fight for something you believe in. Many people, however, argue, confront, and fight over practically anything, turning their lives into a series of battles over relatively “small stuff.” There is so much frustration in living this type of life that you lose track of what is truly relevant.
The tiniest disagreement or glitch in your plans can be made into a big deal if your goal (conscious or unconscious) is to have everything work out in your favor. In this book, this is nothing more that a prescription for unhappiness and frustration.
The truth is, life is rarely exactly the way we want it to be, and other people often don’t act as we would like them to. Moment to moment, there are aspects of life that we like and others that we don’t. There are always going to be people who disagree with you, people who do things differently, and things that don’t work out. If you fight against this principle of life, you’ll spend most of your life fighting battles.
A more peaceful way to live is to decide consciously which battles are worth fighting and which are better left alone. If your primary goal isn’t to have everything work out perfectly but instead to live a relatively stress -free life, you’ll find that most battles pull you away from your most tranquil feeling. Is it really important that you prove to your friend that you are right and she/he is wrong, or that you confront someone simply because it appears as though he or she has made a minor mistake? Does your preference of which restaurant or movie to go to matter enough to argue over it? Does a small scratch on your car really warrant a suit in small claims court? Does the fact that your neighbor won’t park his car on a different part of the street have to be discussed at your family dinner table? These and thousands of other small things are what many people spend their lives fighting about. Take a look at your own list. If it’s like this, you might want to reevaluate your priorities.
If you don’t want to “sweat the small stuff,” it’s critical that you choose your battles wisely. If you do, there will come a day when you’ll rarely feel the need to do battle at all.

Yesterday, Tommy, Jon and I had Orientation from 8am to almost 7pm! Met new people, looked into some clubs, some parts were really boring but, it was worth attending. Take was a great show. ART, MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION! wooo! Hail to the all the Matadors.

After orientation we drove back to tommy's and just hung out for a while. Then Jon,Michael,Jerrick and I ate at McDonalds.

When I Finally got home Sabrina came over at around 10:30.

Today, Sabrina came over AGAIN and watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S. We're trying to watch all the seasons before summer ends.

Today I went to csun with tommy and we got our IDs..certified csunners.After that we visited ariel at work but she was on the phone the whole time so we were like "laaaaame" and then left. Then we passed by sabrinas. Then met up with mango. Then vented. Then dropped relatives off at the airport. Now, I'm chatting with sabrina. And NOW i have the hiccups!! and it won't stop.

i found some methods on google.
couple of weird ones.

Stand On Your Head Method.
-Gargle warm salt water for 30 seconds
-Perform a handstand next to a wall (to prevent falling over)
-Recite the alphabet backwards, while retaining a small amount of gargle-water in your mouth.
-Enjoy hiccup-free condition.

Say NOW Method
-If you see someone with hiccups, offer something of value if they can win this contest (for a competitive person, a single dollar may be all that is necessary).
-Tell them that they will win the contest if they can say the word "now" just before the next hiccup. Hiccuping during the word "now" does not win, nor does saying the word "now" repetitively either

Spin Method
-Fill your mouth with water.
-Spin in a circle 12 times consecutively
-Bend over so that your head is upside down
-Swallow
-If this doesn't work try it again and this time spin 30 times with 1 tablespoon of sugar in your mouth.

WARNINGS:
Do not press on your eyeballs to relieve hiccups. You could damage your eye by pressing too hard and/or cause yourself to pass out through stimulation of your vagus nerve.

EARTHQUAKE!!

I'm in Vegas right now 3:57 AM to be exact. Well before we got here, we were at the airport FOREVER. Wow. It was pretty boring. Our flight was delayed by a billion hours! D FISH was on the same flight!! It was pretty exciting. We have some footage. So yeah...We're staying at the Mariott Suites, it's pretty neat. We just got back from dinner from luxor i think maybe like..an hour ago? I saw my first vegas tranny..she/he was a HOTMESS. My sister and I can't sleep right now and we decided to explore the hotel and we found the pool, vending machines, and the business room (thats how I'm making this blog entry). I think the gym is right across..planning to go there maybe in a couple of hours. I think tomorrow is the first official day of the Bautista Family Reunion. We met up with some people here already (cousins from up north and North Carolina)but, we're still waiting on 100 somethin more. Excited!

Well I just signed on right now..and none of you mother lovers are online which is really weird because you guys Never sleep. I'm kinda bored guys. Someone Sign ON! Tommy? T-Carlos? Vasquez? Sabrina? WOW 1? Kenny? David?anyone? :[ Cmon guys!

So this room is kinda creepy.Theres like a big window in front of me and everytime I see a person walk by I get really scared. lol Let me describe the room. Theres 3 cups of idk what on my left, a printer, a copy machine on my right, door behind me, my sister on the far left of me who is currently using the other computer...WOW guys I'm really bored and not tired AT ALL..

K whatever I guess I'll just read other peoples' blogs. It feels like 100 degrees outside!
